HIITIO was pleased to receive a valued international customer at its Zhejiang manufacturing facility recently. The visit centered on an in-depth review of two of HIITIO’s core production lines — DC fuses and DC contactors — and marked an important step in advancing a long-term supply partnership.
The delegation was guided through the complete production workflow for both product families, beginning with raw material inspection and precision component assembly, through to in-process quality checks and final electrical testing. Particular attention was given to HIITIO’s semiconductor fuse manufacturing processes, where engineers demonstrated fast-acting arc interruption performance and I²t coordination across aR and gR fuse types suited for high-demand DC circuit protection in ESS and EV applications.
The DC contactor walkthrough focused on the HCF series, covering current ratings from 20A to 1,200A and voltage compatibility up to 2,500VDC. The visiting team reviewed HIITIO’s approach to application-specific customization — including contact material selection, coil voltage configuration, and housing modifications for OEM integration — alongside the certification documentation underpinning each product line, including UL, CE, IEC, and TUV approvals.
Beyond the production floor, both teams engaged in open discussions on emerging trends shaping the DC protection components market — including the accelerating shift toward higher-voltage DC architectures in utility-scale BESS, the growing demand for compact BDU assemblies in EV platforms, and evolving IEC standards affecting fuse coordination requirements. These conversations allowed HIITIO’s engineering team to align on how its current and upcoming product roadmap can directly support the customer’s project requirements.
