Hiitio has completed the factory delivery of a 50kW/200kWh Vanadium Redox Flow Battery (VRFB) energy storage system for a project site in Pakistan. The system is scheduled to arrive at the customer’s location in October and will soon be commissioned for operation, providing reliable long-duration energy storage to meet local power requirements.


The system is configured as a four-hour storage solution, with a rated power of 50kW and an energy capacity of 200kWh. It is designed to support renewable energy integration, grid regulation, and backup power supply for commercial and industrial applications at the project site in Pakistan.
With robust engineering, the VRFB can operate reliably in a wide temperature range from –20°C to 50°C, making it suitable for the diverse climate conditions found across Pakistan. Its long service life of more than 20,000 charge/discharge cycles and an expected lifespan of around 20 years ensures both durability and cost-efficiency.
The system includes an integrated Battery Management System (BMS), remote monitoring, and diagnostics, helping the customer manage operations safely and efficiently.
