Today, we are proud to announce the official release of our latest protection device—the HCB2D-80 UL DC Miniature Circuit Breaker (MCB). This new product represents an important step forward in our continuous effort to deliver safer, smarter, and more reliable DC protection solutions for the global new-energy market.

As DC systems continue to expand across solar PV, energy storage, EV charging, and industrial automation, the demand for high-voltage, high-performance protection components has never been greater. With this in mind, we designed the HCB2D-80 to meet the most stringent safety requirements while ensuring long-term durability and stable operation in complex environments.
Designed for High-Voltage DC Environments
The HCB2D-80 is built to support a wide range of DC systems with rated operational voltages up to 1000VDC and a maximum rated current of 80A. It fully complies with IEC/EN 60947-2 and UL489, offering customers an internationally recognized level of safety and reliability.




To meet the diverse needs of different applications, we provide multiple pole configurations:
- 1P: 250VDC
- 2P: 500VDC
- 3P: 750VDC
- 4P: 1000VDC
With eight current ratings available—16A, 20A, 25A, 32A, 40A, 50A, 63A, and 80A—the product can be flexibly integrated into various DC distribution systems.
Stable Protection You Can Trust
One of our core priorities when developing the HCB2D-80 was to ensure superior protection performance. The breaker offers:
- Ultimate short-circuit breaking capacity (Icu): 10kA
- Service short-circuit breaking capacity (Ics): 6kA
- Thermal-magnetic tripping mechanism
We provide both B-curve (4In ±20%) and C-curve (8In ±20%) options to match different types of DC loads, from resistive applications to more complex distribution systems.
This ensures that whether our customers are building PV arrays, telecom power systems, or industrial equipment, they can rely on precise, consistent tripping performance.

Engineered for Harsh and Demanding Conditions
We designed the HCB2D-80 not only to perform, but to last. The product offers:
- Electrical life: 1500 cycles
- Mechanical life: 10,000 cycles
- Operating temperature: –5°C to +40°C
- Storage temperature: –30°C to +70°C
- Relative humidity tolerance up to 95%
- DIN35 rail installation for universal compatibility
Backed by rigorous vibration and impact testing (IEC 60068-2-6 and IEC 60068-2-27), the breaker maintains stable performance in applications that involve movement, temperature fluctuations, or high humidity—making it suitable for outdoor and industrial environments.

Smart and Expandable with MX+OF Accessories
To support remote monitoring and intelligent energy management, we offer several MX+OF shunt trip + auxiliary contact options, including:
- DC 12–24V Passive
- DC 24–48V Passive / Active
- DC 48–60V Passive / Active
These accessories provide accurate status indication and reliable remote tripping, with auxiliary contacts rated at 6A 240VAC / 1A 130VDC and a minimum tripping power requirement of 25W–50W, depending on the model.
