Solar-storage genset integrated unit refers to a multi-energy complementary microgrid system that integrates photovoltaic power generation (photovoltaic), energy storage system (storage), and diesel generator (genset). Its main purpose is to solve the power supply problem in remote areas, off-grid scenarios, or areas with unstable power, and to achieve stable, reliable, and efficient energy supply.

The photovoltaic-diesel-storage microgrid system is a distributed energy supply system that integrates solar photovoltaic panels, diesel generators, energy storage batteries, and other energy sources to form an independent power network. The system can automatically adjust the output of various energy sources according to actual demand to meet users’ electricity requirements.

Why Do I Need a Microgrid System?

HIITIO’s photovoltaic, storage, and diesel integrated cabinet is based on the “ALL IN ONE” design concept. It is a commercial and industrial BESS with photovoltaic and diesel generator ports. It is suitable for various application scenarios, such as emergency power backup, peak conversion, and distributed solar energy systems.

HIITIO has a variety of power & capacity options from 50 kWh to 4 MWh, integrated with BMS and high voltage box. It is connected to PCS and MPPT. The PCS is a three-phase 400Vac/230Vac system. The MPPT is a high-voltage solar controller.

The solar-storage genset integrated unit is highly integrated with hybrid inverters, batteries, BMS, air conditioners, fire protection, diesel generator interfaces, etc. It supports seamless off-grid switching, integrates STS, and has a switching time of less than 20ms, enabling flexible configuration between photovoltaics, batteries, diesel generators, and loads.

1. LiFePO4 Battery and BMS

Lithium-ion battery – Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP)
A lithium-ion battery is a type of secondary battery (rechargeable battery) that primarily relies on the movement of lithium ions between the positive and negative electrodes for energy storage and release.

We use lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries in our energy storage systems. Available brands include EVE and CATL, with a cycle life of 6,000 to 8,000 cycles.

Battery cells are assembled into an air-cooled battery module, which is housed inside a cabinet.

2. PCS

The PCS (Power Conversion System) comprises a bi-directional DC/AC converter and a control unit. The PCS controller receives backend commands to manage the charging or discharging of the battery and regulate grid power.

The MPPT system is a PV controller. It tracks the maximum power of the PV all the time. It is a DC to DC system.

4. STS

The STS system is a power fast switch module. It is used for on-grid and off-grid fast switch (less than 20ms) to avoid load power down.

5. Air-Conditioner

The A/C system is an intelligent air-conditioner system. It supports both cooling and heating functions.

6. Aerosol

When the condensed aerosol fire suppression device receives the start signal, the aerosol generator in the cartridge will be activated to decompose the chemical coolant on the upper layer so that the aerosol generator and the coolant work together to suppress a fire.
